Make sure you have a working camera
If you’re uncomfortable using your webcam, please don't agree to participate in a Live Conversation. Customers usually prefer to speak to participants “face-to-face,” so you should be ready to use your camera.
Provide honest answers to screener questions
It's important to provide accurate screener responses when qualifying for a Live Conversation. If you submit misleading information, the customer may notice and bring it to our attention.
Please remember that accepting a test based on inaccurate responses goes against our Terms of Service, and could lead to your removal from the UserTesting Network.
Confirm your availability
We kindly ask that you schedule a session only when you have the time and availability to participate. Remember to check your inbox regularly for updates, and if you find that you need to cancel, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
How long will a Live Conversation take?
Customers can schedule Live Conversations for 30-, 60-, 90-, or 120-minute blocks. You can always find the expected duration of the session on the test invite.
What should I do if I realize I don't qualify for the study?
Please cancel your Live Conversation. If a customer reports that you didn’t seem qualified for the session, you could lose your payment and risk removal from the network.
Who will I talk to when I join?
You'll speak with the customer, but their colleagues might join the session. They may or may not be online immediately when you join, but you should be ready to speak directly with the customer.
What will the customer see when I share my screen?
When you share your screen, the customer can view everything visible. This may include your desktop, icons, and any open programs or files on your computer, as well as apps and icons on your mobile device. Before you share, take a moment to close any windows or apps that might contain confidential information. This small step helps keep your privacy safe! What payment will I receive for a Live Conversation?
Reward amounts vary depending on the length of the Live Conversation. You can always find the expected payment amount on your test invite!
