How do I install the UserTesting Browser Recorder?
Before you can share your feedback, you may need to install the UserTesting Browser Recorder. If your test includes this step, you’ll see instructions on your screen. If you need a little extra help with the setup, use this article.
When your test requires the Browser Recorder, you’ll see a prompt to install it.
How to install the extension
Click Add to Chrome.
Click Add extension to confirm.
Return to your test and continue. You’ll know the extension is installed when the button changes to “Remove from Chrome.” Once you install it, you’re ready to start!
How do I set up my browser permissions?
Before your test begins, your browser will ask for permission to use your microphone, share your screen, and sometimes use your camera.
How to set up browser permissions
Click Allow when prompted.
If your test includes face recording, allow access to your camera too.
Complete a quick microphone check to make sure your audio works.
If something doesn’t work, check your browser permissions and try again.
