Connecting your verified PayPal account is the first step to earning money as a participant!
- The PayPal account you use to set up payments should be registered in your name. In other words, you can't use another person's account.
- You should never share your PayPal account with another participant.

What's a verified PayPal account?
Verifying your PayPal account is not the same as connecting your PayPal and UserTesting accounts.
When your account is verified, it means PayPal has confirmed that the financial details you've shared are accurate. PayPal usually verifies this information when you connect your banking details (e.g., a bank account or debit card) and then complete additional steps to verify that those financial accounts belong to you. This process can take up to three business days.
Setting up your PayPal account with accurate financial information is the best way to ensure you receive your payments on time. For example, it's a good measure to prevent banking issues, avoid limitations on your PayPal account, and keep your payments secure.
How do I verify my PayPal account?
To verify your PayPal account, please follow PayPal's guidance in their Help Center. This process can take up to three business days. Once your account is verified, you should return to your UserTesting dashboard to connect your UserTesting and PayPal accounts.
How can I get help?
Because we can't access your PayPal account, we're unable to investigate any issues with it.
If you're experiencing any of the following problems, we recommend visiting PayPal's Help Center or contacting PayPal Customer Service directly:
- Completing the verification process
- Recovering your PayPal password or email address
- Adding your bank account or debit card
- Confirming your bank account
